Thiago Translantara

It was somewhat different, but it did happen under Pep. There were many rumors about Thiago leaving during the Cesc transfer.

Well, Pep played and trusted him a lot more than Tito (see last season: 1000 more minutes than this season). Thiago would have played a lot more this season if Pep were the coach.

Pep still played and trusted him a lot more than Tito (see last season: 1000 more minutes than this season). Pretty sure Thiago would have played a lot more this season under Pep.

You don't need to keep repeating that... everybody knows it. The point I made is that there were rumors of Thiago leaving under Pep. Arsenal supposedly wanted him as part of the cesc transfer and such things. Thiago's future back then was as unclear as it is now.

There will be a big offensive pressure on Titi and Rosell these coming days. They'll have to deal with Thiago issue to make him stay ! The most shitty thing I hate is when they say furtively that it's up to him to stay or leave!!!! this is pathetic !!! They managed to beat Florentino on Neymar, but they can't convice Thiago to continue: this is quite annoying !

A big reason for that was that Pep often played 3-4-3 that season so it was easier to fit Thiago and other CM's in.

By the end of the season the 3-4-3 experiment had stopped working as teams seemed to deal with it easier.

Pep had he still been here would have had a problem giving Thiago as many minutes again in a 4-3-3.

Despite all that minutes are not the biggest thing. Would Thiago be happy with more minutes against the weaker teams?

Thats not what players like him and Fabregas are about.

This issue would have happened under Pep. He could not have kept everyone happy.

My point is, this particular situation (Rumors of Thiago leaving because his coach didn't give him enough playing time) would never have happened under Pep.

Back then, the rumors weren't there because of Thiago not getting enough playing time. This time, that is the case. My point is, this particular situation would never have happened under Pep.

The rumors were there for the concern of not getting enough playing time, which ended up happening this season. Anyway, it happened under Pep. His decision to bring Cesc back is what caused all this, if you like pointing fingers.

Exactly.

Pep bought in Cesc to play 3-4-3 and it did not come off and left Tito with too many midfilders to keep happy.

A few extra minutes for Thiago in meaningless games would not have changed much.

But the partnership with Oscar will be golden. Plus the irony if he plays under Moaninho

Hazard-Oscar-Thiago
