This is true.Thiago was being groomed as Xavis back up and did not always play 5-10 mins, he started a lot and got decent sub minutes quite a bit.

It’s not so much about playing him more after the League was won but rather playing him more due the point gap accumulated as the season progressed. Febregas, whom in my opinion was a flop, eating into his playing time didn’t help either.
It is what it is though.
As Neeraj says, Fabregas was mediocre at best. But that’s just my opinion... Thiago could have played in positions other than Xavi’s to prop up his playing time.Febregas was better than Thiago that season though and when Xavi was out it was Thiago who was in for him.

I am against bringing him back and I have expressed that before. He got his chances and decided to go somewhere else. He knew well enough that we needed a CM and instead of pressuring FCB he renewed his contract. Besides, he is almost 28 and injury prone. I would rather go for Miralem Pjanić, Juve is getting E. Can and targeting Savic. We have got Lucas Digne who we could include and also Gomes.
what's with his got his chances?! You are trying so hard to alter facts here. Thiago signed a new contract in 2011 with Barcelona and this contract has few conditions like playing certain minutes. It was agreed on with the management, so who didn't fulfill the contract? Thiago or Barcelona's management? Also, few months after signing his contract, Barcelona signed Cesc Fabregas and it was said at that time that he was the Xavi heir, this ultimately pushed Thiago behind in the pecking order. release clause fell to 18M. But out of respect for Barcelona, Thiago refused to activate his own release clause of 18m and Bayern had to negotiate with Barcelona and sold for 25m. It was a direction taken by the management not to promote or use youngsters, Thiago thought he would develop better under Pep and it was the right choice at that time. Also, he just turned 27 last month, how he is close to 28yo unless you are using bronze age calendar! Pjanic is 28, not Thiago.
Aye board pay me.
Great shout.
Were they paying me a few years ago when you claimed Rafinha and Rakitic were the future world class midfield and I disagreed and was pissed off never got Kroos?
Or did they pay me when you said Coutinho would make Barca a laughing stock and I disagreed?
Thiago was never going to be a starter at Barca any time soon and he knew that. As if he was going to wait for Xavi/Iniesta to retire.
What about when Neymar was nothing but a show off with a hair cut?
Or when you told me Robben is over rated?
Fucking lol.
Thiago made the right choice for himself in my opinion.
Lovely bit of strawman quoting something that was never said.
Great stuff from the deleter again.
You literally replied to nothing the man said & did a strawman then comment about strawman.
