Keep seeing posts like this but dont think anyone is even close to what players would have gone for.

Arsenal tried all summer to get him as cheap as possible and couldnt.

Lemar is there for the taking. If Coutinho isn't coming then he is the best solution right now.

But if no one comes then it is clear that the board had no plans to buy any midfielder but Paulinho this summer and Bellerin/Semedo at rightback. Probably also means Lucas Leiva would of came to make Neymar dad happy if his son were staying. Thats depressing considering we were pumped in away games last year precisely because we couldn't control midfields in possession- which was never planned to be adressed.

It will mean Verratti and then Coutinho were proxies all summer to keep it looking like we were trying to buy someone and keeping the media ticking. Also why Seri was discarded when it looked like it was going to happen.

Coutinho is also playmaker not just an AM and his style fits perfect for Barcelona. He can have a better contribution to the midfield play then Lemar.

Coutinho isnt coming. If we do keep playing 4-2-3-1, we should get lemar. He has good ball retention, good decision making and works hard. He could play on the left with dembele in his preferred position on the right.
