Deserved CL-win, at least Chelsea dont have to hear too much about the 2012-sorcery anymore, this one was more than okay.

So what?
One Madrid with Suarez mentally blocked in CL
Other Madrid who only know one way to score

They played well, but people have already started calling Chelsea this monster powerhouse.
They're good with ties, I'll give Tuchel that, certainly manages games pretty well and has proven to do one over Pep consistently so far

Lol peeps are in for a treat if they do not sign a striker. Balance always get thrown off when you rely on your D being this good. They won't be this good this long. Remember their league topscorer is Jorginho, their penalty taker, with 7 goals

in a competition where experience means a lot, he managed to take a group of young plays and outplayed those big teams convincingly. you really gonna downplay his achievement just because you fear he's gonna get overrated?

I mean

It was a pretty pish route to the final. Seville probably the hardest team to face all the way till City.

He's a good coach, always has been, but he's going to get overrated pretty fast based on this W. They still have no striker and they'll get found real fast if they don't bail on Werner plans

You're saying this as if it's a point against him. The fact that he won the CL with a useless striker is a testament to his quality and one can only imagine what this team would look like with a competent player up front.

No

And I'm not downplaying anything. Calling it as it was. Atleti aren't nearly as strong as thought, neither is Real, but both can be formidable if certain players have a good day (i.e. Carrasco, Vinicius). Still far from a favourite in either tie based on history of their forwards.

Sevilla was toughest at the time. They just came off giving a sextuple Bayern their toughest tie of the year in the Supercup final. Then when both teams were through Seville phoned it in and took a 4 because they were playing Real the weekend after.

Tuchel is a very good coach. Just automatically going to get overrated through the roof on the basis of result despite having no consistent way of scoring goals. I'll give him a benefit of the doubt, but I expect next year will be a struggle because now that they've won, they need to find new motivations and new plans. Nothing will be the same going forward and if they dont sign a striker while continuing to play the same way, they'll start conceding on the basis of putting pressure on backline to have to be consistently formidable.

It is a point against him. Has 3 strikers, none score.

Winning ties is possible without doing that and I commend him for it.

Not the point of the argument and people will figure out how to play him as can't be counting on clean sheets all the time

Pretty happy for him and for Thiago Silva.

Not a L for PSG because he wouldn't win with PSG either. Try to remember Tuchel's PSG at the end of his term. Maybe if PSG had Chelsea fullbacks and Kant? in midfield, yes.

and maybe one more CB as well?

btw, if you follow Lyon, any thoughts on Rayan Cherki? Looks like a baller.

You might be onto something here. Football fans are fickle and probably already forgotten that a loss here would've meant three consecutive final losses for Tuchel. Then what? He would have been biggest bottler?

Glory and defeat, it's a thin line between both often decided by happenstance.

They were keen on signing Haaland but looks like he wants to give BVB another season. Lukaku, specially now that Conte is out, and Dominic Calvert would be the alternatives. Heck even Bale as a super loanee :D

Leonardo biggest clown

Just look at the first page of this very thread. His PSG wasn't exactly stellar.

He got fired and with good reason. The same reason why he got fired at Dortmund: he is getting into conflict with his superiors. Not only in private but also in public. He had a previous warning and started again, hence why he was sacked even after a 4-0 win. It is pretty standard stuff in any organisation. If he talks shit about Abramovitch and Marina, he will get the boot too.

Cherki is a baller but not ready yet. His mentality is not there yet too.

Chelsea may have won but they are hardly the best team in Europe.
However, they have a few excellent players, in particular in defence.

He is a great coach. To get that team win a CL is impressive, because Chelsky surely isn't all that. He also got QSG to the final last year, and they narrowly lost against a very good Bayern team. But why appoint him when we can appoint Setien and Koeman, eh?

Pep schooled himself more than anyone else.

This tbf. No hating on Tuchel either as he seems like a great guy that steered Chelsea to winning ways.

The only coach PSG players actually respected was Ancelotti. The rest had no authority over that locker room. So kind of hard to judge managers after managing PSG

If Tuchel struggled at PSG, and reports say that Poch may leave. Put the spotlight onPSG not the coaches.
