I understand why you like your Women's national team. They're quite successful. But... exactly why do you hate the men's? :/

But you can't deny that Bayern are getting more haters by the day just because they're successful atm.

Like what happened to us a couple of years ago..

Some people genuinely hate them, yes. Some are just butthurt and jealous. Both exist.

Did this start over a picture? I was just messing with you people :p
To be totally honest my post was was jokes too, I saw the pic and replied accordingly, no malice there. I mean if I'm trying to start something I don't use emoticons like  or :p to show that I am joking, nor do I use emoticons to "hide my true intent" or whatever. Others took my post the wrong way more than anything lol. :D Anyway, apologies for the confusion anyhow hehe.

Anyway about Bayern, I've hated them for a long time, pretty much when I started watching football over 10 years ago. I mean, guys like Josh and myself aren't petty enough to hate Bayern for something like the success they are having, I mean what does Milan's league position have to do with anything? And from my perspective, it's not like I'd be butthurt losing the Super Cup the other month, I mean hell, it's a glorified friendly, and it's nice to win, especially against a team that is a rival or a team you hate, but if you lose you lose. In the last 2 competitive ties aginst Bayern we won the CL final and knocked them out in the CL qtr finals in 04-05 if my memory serves me correctly? I have nothing to be butthurt about in terms matches! They are an awesome team, they deserve their success, as Barca did before them(never hated Barca though, just not a fan, as you can tell I didn't list them as one of my dislikes).

Ok, so you are Australian and you begun hating Bayern the moment you started watching football. But WHY on earth? :D :D
That's not the typical way of doing things... being half a world apart, getting new into something and then start hating on one very specific aspect for now apparent reason? Seriously, I don't get it.
10 years ago, Bayern weren't even that much of a big dog on the international level. They basically didn't do much in the years following the CL win in 2001.

I don't like Bayern either, but I don't dislike them enough to put them on my list of dislikes. Most of my actual dislikes are just rivals of the clubs I like.

Well it's not like it was literally the moment I started liking football of course, but they were the first team I ended up hating. Hating right from the start is probably exaggerating(I'm a big exaggerator at times), it mainly started off more as a dislike and developed to hate over the following years, but part of it is that they seem to always have a bunch of players I really don't like, some hate. This applies less so right back then at the start, which is why it was mainly a dislike for them which turned into hate in the end, as they kept raising or buying more that I didn't like, it's uncanny, and slightly amusing. I'm not going to list all the players, I can't be bothered as there are many, but I used to hate Ballack, though not anymore. Oliver Kahn is one guy I always hated too, despite how awesome a keeper he was, and he's a symbol of Bayern. Willy Sagnol too, Luicio(absolute despise him, one of my 5 most hated ever), Demichelis, Makaay, the list goes on and on. I have other reasons but I wrote it all out in another thread and am not bothered to repeat it all or find that post either, listing those players is enough for me, I'm shuddering as it is!

And yeah, my dad has never liked Bayern either, he's pretty bias though and doesn't rate a lot of their legends despite some of their achievements. Plus he's an old bastard who lived through WW2 so he doesn't exactly think highly of Germany either(though I don't think he hates them either), they invaded his hometown in Hungary and killed many people, his life was hell because of them. I guess it's rubbed off on me too in the end as I don't like the German national team. Other than Dortmund I don't care about anything to do with the German league, and I only started liking them due to the Czech connection via Rosicky/Koller. It's funny though, it's not like I hate the German people themselves, I've met some and I haven't been treated badly by them nor did I dislike them. I guess as this is football, I can direct any negative feelings I have regarding them toward the national team or a certain club and stop short of actually not liking the country itself and its people. You might think it's strange or illogical, but that's just how it is with me lol.

One thing that did make me happy though despite it happening for Bayern, was that it ended up being Robben who scored their CL winner. It doesn't matter who he plays for I will always like the guy, and I was so happy he finally managed to not choke, especially after his penalty miss in the 2012 final, poor guy was distraught.

Blasphemy! Hellfire and brimstone for you.

anyhow, thanks for the elaborate answer.

btw, you should be thankful towards Lucio, not hate on him, since it was him deflecting Lampard's shot which made Chelsea knock us out of the CL in the mid 2000's ;)

Haha, after I posted I realised how much I had written, didn't intend that. I'm a bit long winded.

Suffer Lucio you bastard! :D

I am Leg End
I don't dislike or like Bayern. I respect them of course and their achievements. My german team is Borussia Monhengladbach though. Only because of our history together and the supporters usually meet up once a year.
