I read Sport with the same seriousness I read Marca. I read it once or twice a day just to do it.

I am reading on Twitter that there is a lot of speculation that Barca gave Atletico such a good deal on El Guaje because they got a "first refusal" option on Oliver Torres. If that's true, letting El Guaje for so cheap may be one of the best things the club could have ever done. Oliver is going to be a great player one day and hopefully his future lies with Barca.

First refusal options are meaningless. You need both Atlético to want to sell and the player to want to come, and even then it's just a right to match the better offer for him. And that's even if it's true at all, and not wishful thinking.

On paper you are right, but it actually means something between teams, look at Cesc we hd first refusal on him and the player was interested in joining us ,it helped a lot in making the deal
Also At.Madrid are usually one of those teams who are actually ready to sell their stars as long as he isn't going to another Liga team ,Torres,Aguero &Falcao for example ,the first refusal means that once they decided to sell they can't tell the player you have to abroad if you want to leave
Obviously that just in case we have got the first refusal and that is just not a PS

Pepe is a psycho & a cunt but he's not an awful player...

His reading of the game is abysmal and gives away way too many free kicks. 50% of Madrid's incompetence from set pieces during the Mourinho era have been partially or wholely down to him. If they can get 18m for him and 10m for Callejon while we get up to 5.1m for David Villa then we are doing something seriously wrong.

I agree Real will have done well to get a price like that for him but I think Pepe is a decent defender (even though I hate him).

But we had to pay through the nose for Cesc! Arsenal didn't forgive a single cent for him! For a player who wanted to come and wasn't even looking at other offers! Cesc's is precisely the biggest evidence there can be that first refusal deals are an absolute joke.

So who are the players we still need to get rid off?
Afeelay,Cuenca,JDS,Oier are sure things ,probably we would to sell them but would accept a loan if couldn't sell them ,Also Rodri from barca B too
Add Rafa Alcantara (deal close to Celta) ,Deulofue to players we definitely want to loan with Bartra a possibility too,Thiago is also on his way out(damn it Zubi and your buy out clauses )

Yep, simply ridiculous. On top of the unrealistic price-tag, Aguero signed an extension at the end of the season, why would he be offered to us? Sport are hopeless.

I think we're all in agreement here. There's no way on Earth Pellegrini would allow Aguero to leave.

Rosell better have a couple of Aces up his sleeve in regard to a CB and potential midfield signing. Even with the Neymar signing looking better after the Confed, his regime's credibility continues to nose dive.

I hate to say it, but FCB's transfer policy is a total joke. Bad transfers will kill a club faster than anything else.

Freixa (spokesman board): "We're working on the transfer of a centre back. Maybe in the end we sign someone, maybe not." [catalunya radio]

The latter is surely not an option check the state of our defense.

Good. I'm sure we'll get a centre-back, the second half of the statement is probably a bit of a negotiation ploy.
