This transfer will be so fail..well end up with another chygrinskiy.

Samuel? wtf
Why is it we can never get any players from leagues with good tradition of defenders? like EPL or Bundesliga?

And why are we always so slow on reacting so all the good players gets nicked and we end up with no choices?
Our scouting is the suck!

EPL defenders are overrated, only thing u need for being a cb in EPL is pace, strenght and good jumping.

Al Ain will have the final say on Omar Abdulrahman’s future, says team manager Mohammed Obeid, with the 21-year-old playmaker being linked with a move to a number of clubs across Europe - including Arsenal and Barcelona.

Omar has received many offers to move. We have studied them and discussed them all, but the final decision will be taken by the club's management.

He's good but not Barca material... Arsenal/Spurs is a good place for him

Samuel is a great defender but I don't see how he fits us at all. He is far too slow for our high line, even three years ago when Benitez tried a high line with Inter he was made to look shit. He is also old and we should be looking for long term solutions.

Actually yes, I think he will be worse. Because he's probably five times slower than Bartra, I guess.

And yeah, it would be another great example how we treat our canteranos in the last year - we sign a 35-years old Walter Samuel to take Marc Bartra's minutes. Great, really great. Maybe Thiago took the right decision after all.

Give this up already, Bartra is not good enough.

I know nothing about Vergini, but for all we know he could become a brilliant player. People criticise him just because he isn't a big name. Do you want us to constantly spend big money on big players? Big players flop just as much as lesser knowns, at least there is low risk in this transfer.

Yeah, first people complain that we don't have good enough scouts and when there is a talent for peanuts they're saing he's not good enough... You don't know how good he can become, that's the magic of foreign talents

I want him too. I just don't want Walter Samuel, as he's old and an injury prone. We should buy Vergini and a fast defender.

I'm fine with Tata bringing in his own guy with him in Vergini, it can also help with him adapting to our team with a familiar face around. Watching tape on him and he appears to be a big tough defender. That's definitely what the squad needs. He is somewhat agile for his size. Looks fantastic through the air.

Sounds like he can come on a free, so that means we can still go after a veteran defender like Agger. No on Samuel. Another guy who can come cheap is Hector Moreno. I would love for us to bring some "tough guys" in and let these other clubs know we won't be pushed around anymore.
