Yup, i face some troubles to read and write in the forum to day too.
There must be an error. 23M without bonus for Sakho with only 1 remaining year of contract ! Too good to be true. I know Liverpool showed us nothing is imposible with Andy Carroll but, well, i didn't see that coming.

Damn... Thats a hell of lot money for a player who has one year left on his contract

Btw Bertus, Whats your opinion on N'Koulou, Kurt Zouma and Samuel Umiti? Do you believe they have what it takes to succeed at a big club like Barcelona?

Just saw the same question in the french league thread. Sorry for the late reply. I'm very busy during the week.

Anyway.

N'Koulou -

He's doing quite bad since the start of the season despite Marseille winning its three first matches. Journalists think that his bad mentality is the reason. He's doing the same mistakes as many players playing in the french league. Thinking he's super good and doesn't train enough as a result.

That said, he has a good margin to get better. He proved during the last part of the previous season that he could become an excellent CB if he trains enough and if he stops being big headed.

Kurt Zouma -

My favorite of the three. He developed other qualities than those of a CB. When his team is losing, he can go in the box to outnumber the opposing defence and actually be very useful. I could be wrong, but IMHO it's the most promising of the three. He's not slow. He's good in the air. He can read what's happening around him. And he's not bad when he decides to join the attack. Think of it as a Luiz alike but not crazy and only join the attack when his team is losing and when they need somebody in the penalty box to try to score. IMO he has better vision than Luiz already. Yet Luiz has better skills. But Zouma is consistent, while Luiz still has those WTF moments during some games. I won't say he's better than Luiz yet because he's so Young. But among the three you listed, he has the biggest potential.

Samuel Umiti -

The least skilled of the three players you listed. Lyon lost three matches in a row mainly because the team is too Young. Umiti, just like Grenier, needs to play with experienced players to do good and improve. Umiti is better on the field when Bisevac is there too for example.

The three of them could improve greatly if they were Under the wing of a great player like Puyol.

If i had to pick only one tho, I'd pick Zouma.

I really think beIN sports did a mistake. Yet they announced it on their official twitter and all.

I really can't believe it and won't believe till he signs something.

Thanks man! :D

I really hope we look to the french league and one of these three prospects instead of wasting our time on David Luiz again!

The hell happened to forum? Got hacked? Apparently our club finds it necessary to negotiate with the notoriously stubborn bilbao over Herrera with 3 days left to go till transfer window shuts. No idea if hes any good i just remember him playing great in the one game against us.

Ander Herrera is very good at passing. The type of playmaker you need.

Great we wont get him then, how similar is he to - say Thiago? - Apparently Moyes rejected the scouts advice to go for him in favour of Fabregas so if he is similar i do not get it.

Seriously pissed off with our transfer window, why are we messing around over 6m euros with 3 days to go. Our new Ceo is frustrating.

remember? :pep:
Executed more key passes last season (35) than Manchester United's Tom Cleverley & Shinji Kagawa combined (33).
Won more tackles last season (90) than Chelsea's Frank Lampard, Arsenal's Jack Wilshere & Man City's Yaya Toure COMBINED (83)
He is not as flashy as Thiago, and he is much-much better than Thiago in defense. Ander is more reliable than him, he won't just give the ball away.

Yeh i remember, awful awful game, De gea saved us from an even bigger embarrassment. I do remember him and Munian having an exceptional game but that was the only one ive ever seen of him. Pretty amazing stats for last season if you consider how much bilbao underperformed.

Too late in the transfer window for him though, wasted too much time on Cesc we would be lucky if we ended up with say both him and Fellaini.

Aren't Man United interested in De Rossi too?

Underbid like usual, speaking of which

As of today, conversations for Herrera have stopped. United think 36m euros too much to pay. It's a complex deal and not much time left.

I dont trust anything that this guy says, he seems to be the only one running this line of thought, if its true though my god, we can pay 30m euros but not the extra 6? Why sign all these commercial deals, sell stocks, and increased tv revenue but piss about over a few £m?

Bilbao do not need the money and don't want to sell. If the release clause is payed, depending on the contract it could mean there are some taxes to be paid on top of that so it could go over 40M.

It's funny contrasting the efficiency of Spurs spending spree with Man U and Arsenal both failing miserably to get anyone so far. It's also could be funny to see them both scrambling and scraping the bottom of the barrel and maybe panic buying in the last couple of days of the transfer window.
