i don't really see what Man United's problem is tbh...

...................Carrick.............Cleverley....................
..............................Kagawa.................................

midfield sorted.

Rooney plays in Kagawas spot, the problem is Cleverley is not good enough as much as i like him, Anderson is injury prone and inconsistent, and Carrick has to do too much covering for cleverley so he is limited. If he gets injured its game over. We have played Giggs, phil jones, and park ji sung in there in the past 3 years, we need reinforcements.

Edit: Carrick is also 32.

sorry, when i said i don't understand Man Utd's problem i meant yes they should have signed a midfielder by now but they haven't and what they currently have isn't THAT bad. my fault for not fully explaining myself...

Carrick might be 32 but he had his best/most consistent season last year, he still has a good 2-3 years left in him i reckon...

Kagawa deserves to be starting, he is probably the most creative player you have and the biggest attacking threat after van Persie & Rooney. it is a crime to have him sitting on the bench. he can play where Cleverley is but Carrick will still need to cover defensively but with Rio & Vidic behind him surely that's not much of an issue? Carrick is your DM and he should be allowed to focus on keeping things simple and protecting his back 4. let Kagawa create in the middle with Rooney in the hole behind RVP. Rooney will get back and help Carrick/Kagawa as well anyway, he can't help himself.

Kind of implied other than what you meant with the whole midfield sorted :p

Agreed, he may even be able to go longer, has not been plagued by injuries and has never really had any pace, could have a Scholes type longevity. The problem is if he gets injured.

Kagawa as much as i love him is a defensive liability, would be suicide having him in Cleverleys position he would go forward at every possible chance he gets, i mean Cleverley does the same and hes a natural CM. He rushes forward leaving Carrick exposed a good example is against Spurs where both there goals was scored by literally running through the midfield. He needs to play in Rooneys position, however Rooney is better at the minute. The best option is to have him where he played last season for us and Japan AML, but Moyes seems to prefer Welbeck there. I do agree though he is likely our 3rd best player, he is out of form/fitness and it cannot be justified letting him sit on the bench Welbeck is good in his defensive work yes, but offers almost nothing in and around the box.

We do desperately need reinforcements though, and we have for 5 years. It is the major weakness in our team. I am genuinely shocked we left it to the last day and we still may end up signing nobody.

Ozil rejects Arsenal, what does he think, that he will play too much at Real now?

Probably he'll end up at a team like Man City where there's never gonna be a stable 11 and many in's and out's every summer and winter.
