Then PSG will have the better of the deal. Because they'll have money seeing as Silva will cost more than Marquinhos and Marquinhos young with a lot of years ahead of him. Plus he'll cost around £50M by the time a big club wants him.

yes, it is odd what our scouts are actually doing? Do we even have scouts? madrid bought marcelo for 6m from brazil, varane for 10m from france, higuain for 12m from argentina etc, and both khedira and ozil were cheap. We cant just focus on players that are regularly in headlines at the biggest clubs.

Don't start me on Ozil , wasn't he a Barca fan form childhood , expressed a desire to join and pay for us and was offered to us for about £7 million ...... and we rejected the offer !!??

Sorry but there would not be the problems there currently is at the back if it could be solved by training with Puyol.

Pique has not learned too much in terms of becoming like Puyol through training with him.

From when 28 is too old? what do you expect everyone on our squad being 25 and under?You know we would really be thankfull if he came,and maybe when he starts aging by that time there could be more options shown than now

Too old in relation to the price you would have to pay and he will be 29 soon after season starts.

You would be paying a huge amount for him in the years when fitness etc starts to become more of a gamble.

Signing players of that age if there are injury issues etc there is no real come back on it.

he will be 29 when the season really gets going. buying players with their best years behind them is rarely clever. we havent succeeded well with 29 year olds like ibra for 70m, hleb for 16m and villa for 40m. the same logic was used then as now. "we need proven quality which will take us to the next level." I think we need to be a bit more rational than this.

Who is a proven quality CB available right now? Not saying that Silva is available too..
