Kimmich is like 14 months older than Rodri, they are the same generation. He fits them better than Enzo and is more versatile.
People care too much about player's age tbh. A 30 years old player could get you 3 great years and 2 solid ones. That is very long time in football terms.
Sure, because this is Edwards job now.
He is no more interested to do the dirty work of managing scouts data etc. He is more of a higher up guy who hires those who does the job. He is a bit like Crujif with Laporta. Hughes is the Txiki now.

Who knows how Rodri will look like after his injury. Could be that he is finished at the highest level, while Kimmich is playing his best season in years.
Trent will be great for Real, against most teams he will be a huge help in chance cration. Against the better sides he will be a weak spot defensively, but if they use Valverde to cover for him, could see it working out.
All in all, a fantastic deal for them, even if he flops, they can sell him for big money back to the EPL.

Neither Kimmich or Valverde are defensive to sit and it would be chaotic.
To date Valverde has looked his best for Real playing more to the right and Real havent looked great with him trying to play from centre more.
Valverde is a bit like Gerrard..not many coaches fancied him in centre without others to cover him either and needed more freedom.
Not as good as Gerrard but similar in that way.
Would guess next season Valverde will veer to right again and help cover TAA.
