Point is:
Hughes is of exactly the same mindset and philosophy as Edwards.
He would never accept Trent back.
High chances he thinks he is disrespectful to Pool, like many Pool fans, but 100% he does not contemplate such actions by players reinforcing a direct opponent in Europe with 0 financial gain for his own club
Once he is out, and out like that, he is out for good...

PS: Kimmich is in decline in his career in general. His prime was between 2017 and 2022 or so.
He might have a couple of good years left in him, but it will be stupid for a club that looks to a long-term cornerstone CM to go for him now
