Also, Simeone hasn't coached a giant star studded club like Barca, Madrid or Bayern before. It's a whole different ball game to coaching Atletico. Some coaches are just less suited to coaching massive clubs and more suited to coaching underdogs.

Not saying he can't do it, but doing well at Atletico or some other club with a comparatively smaller name/less resources/less star talent doesn't automatically translate to doing even better with a more talented team and more resources, as some fans seem to think. See Pellegrini.
