Ajax's academy used to be a "La Masia"... I don't know about nowadays though, they've been average at best in recent seasons (in the European stage).

That's because they sell their best trainees as soon as they become noticed by bigger clubs. You can't be anything more than average playing only kids year in year out.

Zenit, a tough opponent, at least on paper. Besides that, I always hated the traveling distance and the weather conditions of Russia.

Last time we visited St. Petersburg was in 2006 and it looked like this:

Hope one of Fiorentina and Napoli wins it for the sake of their Argentinos and Italia. Sevilla winning it again would be boring.
