The good
Although I did call Cesc Fabregas a mercenery, to suit my arguements, one can understand his desire to leave Arsenal for Barcelona.
But if RvP plays a similar stunt I'd never be able to forgive him. Arsenal, being a top club, did a lot for him by not signing an able forward to fill the 'main striker' berth that RvP kept on emptying because of his frequent injuries. There can't be any excuse for him to demand a transfr from Arsenal. I hope he sticks to his latest statements that he is committed for Arsenal

And very good display today :)
well I would understand if he leaves, the club has no future and this maybe his last chance to win trophies

Simple solution would be go out on loan for half a season to Bayern or some thing... :p

No seriously, he can't abandon that ship man. He's been a cripple all this time and they still supported him. Made him an undisputed starter for his country, etc.

If Arsenal don't make top 4 RVP will go I reckon.

I think it depends on what ambition we show in the transfer market in January as well. We bid 35mil for Goetze and 30mil for Hazard on deadline day, and the money hasn't gone anywhere. If we put it to good use and surround him with better players I'm sure he'll stay.

Didn't Dortmund president make a statement saying you did not offer Goetze that kind of ammount?

A cunt of the highest order (but a good one football wise).

He will be 29 next summer and I doubt that a bigger club than Arsenal will offer him a higher salary considering his notorious history of injuries.

I've looked everywhere and can't find any of those quotes, but am seeing every sports paper reporting the 35 million rejected bid. Even Bayern's president was openly talking about it, since they want Goetze too. Either way, nobody really knows what goes on behind closed doors. I remember Wenger being asked in a press conference if he was after Arshavin (post Euro2008) and he flat out said no, and a few months later he's playing for us.

Came on with 20 to go today with the game at 1-1 and scored 2 goals. Both were laid on a plate by Gervinho but still RvP :worthy:

I think he'll sign a new deal, Usmanov taking over would guarantee it.

Yep, saw that. He's been utterly fantastic for nearly a year now, since beginning of '11?

Kind of annoyed that my bet on V.Persie First Goalscorer 4/1 E/W was cancelled as he didn't start.

But nice to see Arsenal getting back on their feet, first consecutive league wins in quite a while. Hope they make 1-2 BIG signings in the winter as well.

If anything he's just seeing how well he can do before the next contract negotiations, if he ends up top scorer or PotY then his next contract with Arsenal will be a massive one. Besides even if he were to leave it wouldn't be anywhere in England, he respects Arsenal far too much to pull a Nasri. If anything it would be to Madrid/Barca and they don't need him.

Statistically best forward in England for an year now... Scored more number of goals than any other forward who doesn't stand in the box for set pieces, created more number of chances than any other forward, denied more number of goals than any other forward and hit the post more number of times than any other forward :worthy:

I still remember the day when the commentators conducted a poll for best forward in which they didn't include him... I suggested his name should be in the list too and was laughed/ridiculed at by each and every body!!

Rooney the best in England? Deluded much!?
