Arsenal is infamous for making players look better than they are, as they play a "system" that favours image over results. It's one of the reason the "Cesc had the most assists in Europe!" talk, because Arsenal has a history of making players look good only for them to be exposed for being complete crap when they leave..just look at Hleb.

Now Cesc was above and beyond Arsenal's best player, so despite my misgivings about him, he's at least a good player. But Ben Affleck? Just look at how crap he is for the Netherlands..he'd be lucky to have half of Overmars career away from Arsenal.

If RVP played in La Liga you'd be saying he's the best in the world, La Furia. Your bitterness is beautiful.

Btw, I thought you never watch the PL? So how on earth can you comment on RVP and Arsenal?

Theres not one person that'd say RVP is the best in the world, no matter what league he played in.

I don't hate everyone in the EPL. For instance Luis Suarez is world class, and a much better player than RVP. Same with Rooney, I hate the bastard but he's good. Ditto for El Kun.

And that's just counting comparable players.

Just out of curiousness (prolly not a word) I would like to hear about the glory days of van persie... what were his best seasons and what did he accomplish

He'd be hands down an Arsenal legend and one of the best players in the world if he weren't so Injury prone.

But, maybe that's Arsenal's fault? For relying on him to play EVERY SINGLE game when he actually is fit?

Scored his 100th Arsenal goal yesterday. Brilliant player, and finally hitting world class form. Just look at his stats in 2011

Club & Country: 31 goals in 35 appearances

:worthy: please stay fit! And I hope he signs a new contract too, even though he only ever dreamed of playing for two clubs when he was young (Arsenal, and I'm not saying who the other club is )

He's supported Arsenal since he was a kid, and is very passionate about the club. Someone like him would be more inclined to stay through the good times and bad, and fight to win things for the club instead of win things for himself.
