Thing is I don't think that will particularly deter people from voting for him. Rosell and Bartomeu constantly slandered Laporta and ended up winning. No candidate seems particularly great but I fear Font is the only one who has put a detailed plan in place so far, so he almost wins by default.
He's put all his eggs in the Xavi basket, if that goes wrong he's fucked.
Victor Font: Even if Koeman had a great season, I wouldn't change my plans. If I became President Koeman would never be the coach.
Bin this guy quickly. No place for naive ideologues in this club.
People who believe this:
Maybe you have not followed Font at all.
Because he is not doing that.
Just from his recent tv3 interview:
@victor_font
: ?We need a solid sporting project in all its capacities. Not just one high profile name. Not just a Xavi Hernandez as manager. You need a sporting director who can complement a Xavi Hernandez. You need a board with directors who KNOW football, NOT businessmen.?
Lol, this guy.
If he's elected I'm wondering what he'd do if Xavi would fail. Would he stick with him despite Xavi not doing well? And if Xavi is successful and leaves after 3-4 years like Pep did, then who will Font replace him with if Xavi is the only guy he trusts? Maybe Font will appoint himself as a coach.
He will replace Xavi with Iniesta.
I'm pretty sure he knows what to do with his promises. My worry is that those things won't be successful.
He's a very extreme Cruyffista, with full trust in La Masia. He probably will keep to those things if he gets elected, but just how good are we actually going to be on the pitch?
We shouldn't try to emulate the Pep era. It's a wet, but near impossible, dream.
Did he actually say that? What a dumb statement.
