Victor Font (presidential candidate): "I said that I will dismiss Koeman even if we win the treble? Words have been put in my mouth. It's been taken out of context entirely." [sport]

Backtracking at its finest.

Dawg , guess what he said right after ?

Font: "We will come up with an interim solution. I really do want Koeman to succeed. And when Xavi will come, I'm sure he will find ways to incorporate Koeman's talents."

Someone get this guy some medication , Xavitis isn't a joke.

There is a reason he is the most popular among twitter fans.
It isn't a question if he is good or not, but he is a Pepista to the core. He says what they fantasize.

Yah fully agree with you. Very popular among twitter and reddit which means that he is popular with the younger fanbase. And their vote turnout is usually lower compared to the older socios.

While alot can change from now until March , I don't think he will have any chance of winning it. It's going to be between Laporta and whatever puppet will run for Barto imo.

What we need is a "Pepista". When you rebuild the side you build it in the direction we all want. We all want Pep's style, which is really not that crazy: passing combinations, speed, pressing, goals and offensive football with intensity.

What's not to like? Is there anybody here that didn't eagerly expect games during Guardiola?

The managers playing the CL final are Pepistas. 3/4 managers in the CL semis have been inspired by Guardiola. Even said it themselves.

Pep's style:

pressing - check
great passing - check
fear factor - check
posession - check
counters - check
total football combinations - check
offensive oriented - check
fast football - check
workrate - check

What's the problem? Too few crosses and no big number 9?

None of those qualities are unique to Pep's style of football. Every great side has most of those traits. Somehow you are trying to conflate everything good about football with Pep and spin it into "we all want Pep's style."

Klopp's Liverpool and Mourinho's Madrid had virtually all those qualities, but we were far from "Pep's style." Watch Pep's teams in the CL for the past 9 seasons and maybe you will understand some of the unique aspects about his style and how many of them are not conducive to going far in Europe.

@Serghei All I need to do is post one quote from Victor " Xavi and Inshallah" Font for you to become his biggest hater.

Victor Font: The thought of Messi leaving Barcelona gives me nightmares :coffee:

Mourinho's Madrid lacked half of those, wasn't even a possession side at heart. Klopp indeed, is similar to Pep in a lot of ways.

Like I told you, Nagelssman and Tuchel are heavily inspired by Pep. So his style and brand of football is very successful and active.

I didn't say I like Font. Just that a manager who is true to our style and is willing to go in that direction is what is needed for a rebuild. The time of pragmatists and defensive managers is over.
