This guy is so trash he’s headed back to Brazil after only a year lmao.

Barça would have been better off getting another average La masia talent like Munir, Sandro or Tello or some random like that

That's not how it works. Roque signed an 8 year long contract with Barca in summer 2023. Since the fee was 30m, his amortization is 3.75m per year. He was 1.5 years in Spain, meaning his book value today is around 25m after 1,5 years. If Barca sells him for 25m, he's a 0€ asset. There is no loss in the books, which is important for the ffp.
Further, Barca can hope to get some future money for him, as they keep 20% of his rights. Meaning most likely he'll be a profit in the books. It's the best the club can hope for right now.
He's simply not good enough for Barca, never will be most likely. The scout who suggested to pay 30m for him should be fired obviously, but Barca doesn't make any loss in the books, which is the most important thing here.

I spoke directly about cash flows.

Nothing fishy about this.

Palmeiras have a shitload of money and are a powerhouse there. He was a very good striker in Brazil. They need a striker and are getting one who did well for a poor team so they're banking on getting him to do even better for them, and being based in Brazil it's not like they can pick up any striker in the world either.

Maybe he turns out like Gabigol for them who was beyond awful in Europe, but have been one of the best strikers there for a long time. Inter signed him for 25m and then sold him back a few years later to Brazil for 18m or so.
Yeah nah, still fishy af...

I'm not majority of the people, I only hardly dislike one of them and sadly is the one who will continue to stink for next 2,5 years.

It's more about club's lack of any long term planning. We finally did something good and then ruined it within 6 months.

To be fair I think he is better than Ferran and should have been kept but club has their own biases towards Spanish players.

How?

There's an extra transfer window for World Club Championships this June for the competing clubs, and every 4 years. So this case should be used to amend the statutes as the chances of loaned players being transfer interests will increase.

Instead they double down because Roque can't be registered as a Barcelona player before moving to Palmeiras. Lol.

I was one of Roque biggest advocates here, though I pointed his limitations from the start, but he isn't better than either Torres or Lewandowski.

I don't get the 2.5 years of Lewa either, his contract along the reported renewal, is until 2026, nothing about 2027. The club will try to finance a striker signing by then.

Never mind the player's angle too, kid is going through ton of personal shit that is clearly affecting his on the pitch performance, let him heal close from home and develop his career. The chances of it happening in Europe is getting smaller.

It seems like a done deal anyway, whether it is now or in June. Move on and don't mix things up with other players.

PS: atm F.Torres is vastly superior player.

Edit: I see you are quoting sport, who aren't the most reliable, but even then it says unilateral right to extend, which is always a good option to have tbh. They will assess if they can get a player in 2026 or stick with what they have.
