Rooney was definitely MOTM. He dominated the first half. He was much quieter in the second half but you can't complain about two goals away from home against Manchester City. Kun worked hard and did well to score a goal, but he was never a contender for MOTM.

why is the English media always going on about Rooney? He's easily the most talented English player, and I can't see a reason why he would want to leave united.
He should't play as an out and out striker, all this criticism probably stems from the predominantly English notion that he should only be judged on goals, because of his described position.
His best position is behind the no. 9, or as a deep striker supported by inside forwards on the wings. He wears the no. 10 for a reason.
