Which "number 8" is better? Kaka or Iniesta

Who's better Kaka or Iniesta?

I saw a poll made on Sport, so I decided to make one here. So what are your thoughts, who'd you pick as a better player...

Currently probably Iniesta; overall the decision would be a bit more difficult, but I'd still go for Iniesta.

Iniesta is without a doubt the more on form player. In terms of natural ability, i feel it is much closer. I guess you could create a case for either.

Kaká is of course much more athletic, yet they both have great acceleration with the ball.

The problem is kaká has been a part of an ageing milan team, and a brazil team that has seemed to lack leadership for a while. Having said that, i feel that if you put kaká in any team, he will play a crucial part to securing a victory, but he will need his teammates to play well and feed off his balls etc. However with iniesta there is just something about him whereby the whole team can play badly but he will still do things that will win a match.

At their peaks it is a close call. IMO Kaka's best year to date was in 2005 when he was the best in the world imo. I therefore am judging it with the 08/09 season of Iniesta and it is too tough to call. IMO right now Iniesta is the best player in the world even ahead of Messi and Xavi and CR.

But Kaka was equally immense in 2005, that first half in istanbul his individual game that night was amongst the best I have ever seen.

So I am not going to say one or the other.

other types of players...i would love to have both in my team.
Kaka is a creative and more talented Gerard,that pulls a whole team + can attack
Iniesta can be strikingly dangerous and can come out of most difficult situations ..;always attack minded and efficient...more infiltrating

Iniesta is currently the best player in the world IMO ... but a lot can change from year to year

I think Iniesta is the best player in the world at the moment too. I still stand by saying that he is the hardest working player in the world.

If we were to compare last season of the two players I think it is only fair that Iniesta takes it

I think this an unfair poll, because they both have different roles. Iniesta's role is setting up goals and getting some goals. Kaka's game is more about scoring. This why Iniesta fits our system, because we have great strikers and forwards.
