Drogba is the better all rounder but Eto'o has a goalscoring record that a lot of players only dream of.

True for the past but there's the argument that this has only happened because of the Barca team that catered for him and he still missed truckloads of easy(er) chances. Now that he is playing for Inter he has an under 0.5 goal/game ratio, add to the fact that he takes 1/2 of the team's penalties, and Drogba's scoring record as well is far superior.
For me Drogba all the way, but in terms of heart, commitment and passion for football, Eto'o wins. Which is why he is capable of performing those superhuman feats of his when he really intends to. He always performs for himself and for personal reasons.

and how long has that been? 3-4 months?

Well, it has to be taken into consideration. Also at Mallorca he wasn't near as prolific as he was at Barca. But then again, he was younger.

Eto'o is the better goalscorer and the quicker player

Drogba is stronger, can hold the ball up better, better first touch, better vision and can score nearly as much.

And this is coming from someone who has Eto'o in his top 5 fav strikers of all time.

so you are pointing your fingers at me? alright, if you want me to answer that then I will.

If Eto'o was such an important part of our team, then why did Pep insist that he gets sent away? Drogba has been a mainstay for the Chelsea project from day 1 whilst Eto'o was replaceable unlike Messi.

Drogba has managed to propel Chelsea to 3 semis, 1 final and 1 R16... to this point, we have to all agree that Chelsea have been extremely unlucky to not win the Champions League whilst being so close all the time.

As Meta said, Drogba is a much much better striker than Eto'o who is a goalscorer just like Defoe.

Pep also wanted Eto to leave last season. Same as he wished Henry to go. And we all know how that turned out. So the fact that Pep wanted him out changes little in this argument.

Its not like Drogba has been playing with a poor team. Drogba's quality as a striker is seen against last years semis against Barca. I think in terms of ball control, passing, and inteligence(reading the game), Eto'o is way better. He's been bred in the spanish style of football, and its by far more technical than the physical EPL. as far as this year is concerned, its no doubt that He's struggling due to the fact that he is in a new team, league.

If you wrote Drogba instead of Eto'o I wouldve gave u the legendary "+1"

Henry is replaceable as well, there is no doubt about it. A striker's worth is dependent on how valuable, he is to the system.

Check- Villa, Torres, Rooney, Van Persie, Drogba.

Hence, it is not abnormal to see teams with a stable striker for a long passage of time. Drogba has everything that you want in a striker, Eto'o has everything that you want in a goalscorer but any given day, a striker is always worth more than a goalscorer to a system.

And sometimes all that a team needs is someone who's able to covert all that beautiful football into thing that wins you trophies: goals.

Both are greaters... but at the moment, Drogba is in better condition.
Furthermore, it is younger and has a different perspective of the future ahead.
