Eto'o has scored the winning and tying goals in two CL finals.

Drogba got himself sent off in a CL final.

I don't give a fuck how much Drogba looks better on highlight reels, if being a CF for Barcelona was so easy how do you explain Maxi Lopez, Santi Ezquerro, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Saviola and Henry all failing to produce in the CF role? Shouldn't a player with Bojan's talent look much better if it was that easy? Shouldn't the two seasons Eto'o has suffered serious injuries have not been the two we failed to win the league?

The fact remains is even if Drogba's athleticism and ability to hold up the ball make him superior on paper, Eto'o has achieved much more in his career, and even in his current form Eto'o was more or less Cameroon's best player in World Cup qualifying, scoring 9 goals surrounded by middle of the road talent.

If judging them by their careers, Eto'o has had the much better one. This year Drogba is having a career year while Eto'o is "struggling" with 7 goals in 15 games after replacing a more well rounded player who singlehandedly won games for Inter.

if you read my question, i ment over all career wise, not just this season. but it seems everyone is judging according to this season, which is really unfair to Eto'o, playing for a new team in Italy. the hardest league to score in???

It's sad how some people are so bitter about Eto'o, I certainly am not worried that we can't win without him but if you compare their careers the advantage has to go to Eto'o and it's not really close. Drogba is having the notably better season but he's also having possibly the best season of his career, and even then Eto'o has been scoring vital goals for both Inter and Cameroon.

Who converts the most half-chances in to goals?
Who is more clinical in front of goal?
Who can score out of nothing?

As a striker, ur primary job is get the Goals, one who can do all of the above is the one i'd vote for. :D

look at their goals scoring record and it tells you quite clearly who the better striker is, and its clearly eto'o, but drogba is the better forward

Eto'o definitely has the upper hand when you compare careers and when you look at their scoring record but you simply cant ignore the amount of chances he used to miss but he got all those chances because of his posessionning in first place and that should be credited to him as the question is whos a better striker not goalscorer. Eto'o also pressures defenders better than any other striker. I still didnt completely decide whos better but to be honest Id pick Drogba over him if I was a manager.

Drogba, no question about it really. He has so much more to offer than Eto'o, in every aspect of the game.
