Imagine if we did have a world class goalie with godly goalkeeping skills. We'd probably be fucking invincible. The great thing about getting someone young like Courtois or Ter Stegen is the fact that we can also mold them to fit our system. So in a few years, we have a world class goalie who also fits our system well. Btw, I hear Ter Stegen's already a good ball player.

Reina's probably about as good as Valdes (don't know much about him, correct me if I'm wrong). Meaning he's average. IMO, a club like Barca should have a world class GK.

Thing wie ter Stegen is that he is not consistent enough to play at the level that Barca is playing at. He is too young yet to play in such a big club as the number 1. Get him as Valdes' understudy and have him play CdR next season. That could work, imo, though I don't rate him that highly. He is good, but there are better goalies out there.

He's better than Reina, from what I've heard. But benching him for a season could be a good idea (give him time to get used to Barca and all that). Anyways, the only goalie I can think of who's at Barca's level and (somewhat) experienced who we can realistically get is Lloris.

Meh, compared with Reina in top form, ter Stegen stinks ;) He is still a young lad and has potential but I don't see him nowhere near good enough to play for Barca in the first team and the CL. He has had his troubles in the EL and his season has been anything but consistent. I know that Barca has followed him but I'd rather they did not get him.

I actually like that Adler is an option in the poll :D

Tottenham JUST bought Lloris this season. Plus he's their long term goalkeeper.

Gotta say I agree. In a situation like this the board is probably just looking for a safe option & continuity. IMHO even when Liverpool had Alonso, Mascherano, Arbeloa, Riera & Torres, Reina was a weak point. He'd manage to let in some of the softest goals (as Valdes does sometimes). But he is vital to Liverpool and won't come without a price.
