He is quite good, certainly wouldn't mind him, but I don't think he will be an option, simply because either Pogba or Gündogan are realistic targets.

We're being realistic. No way we can land Verratti. PSG won't sell and it's not like his contract is going to end anytime soon.

I don't watch much Dortmund so I can't say too much about Gündogan. Just a quick overview of some numbers and I notice he has missed 555 days due to injury since joining Dortmund in July 2011, and his market value has dropped from 27M in June 2013 down to his current 20M. These are two rather disturbing stats for a 24 year old.

Verratti on the other hand I do watch weekly and think he's wonderful. He's also only been injured 4 days in his career and has had his market value consistently increase throughout it, so that's a bonus too.

We obviously can't get him, but I think in this hypothetical there's really no question to which we should prefer.
