Higuain cannot hold the ball upfront and he is quite soft but he is still young. However I disagree with Meta about Higuain needing service, he has carried us so many times with individual brilliance but only when he started his own run. Any physical challenge will see him struggle. He is definitely a man I can label a match winner. He has it in him, and he will continue to improve, gradually, yes.

You'd need Van Persie not to get injured but I doubt he will score over 4 goals because there are so many other goal scorers and one ball.

Fabiano is a poacher, a pest, an opportunist, so you cannot discount him.

Not true. I've seen you mention tht quite a few times. He is no Drogba at holding the ball and bringing other in to play but hes not shite either. Hes been decent whenever its required of him. So I wouldn't really classify tht as a 'weakness' in his game. He also converts the half chances better than both Milito and Tevez. His volley with his back to the goal(dont remember the opposition) was awesome. And i agree with Pepe he can be a ruthless finisher on his day. But hes also not just a finisher, he has a good game in him. Showed tht in 08/09 when he had a bit more freedom on the pitch but this season his movement been restricted due to the arrival of Thongboy. He has a lot of potential, whether he can fulfill tht at Madrid remains to be seen.

he's a magnificent finisher and a great player, I've been a fan of his for years since I watched him in el superclasico. but he can't hold the ball. he really tried hard to do it vs. canada because I think he knows what kind of #9 josé likes and was trying to prove he can be that guy.

but he can't be that guy.

the eto'o role for him!

and I didn't mean that he can only score from sitters, but even when he created something from half-chances, he still needed the ball to get to him. you couldn't hoof the ball to him and expect him to do something with it, ala drogba, milito, rooney, zlatan, etc.

Would love Klose to score 4 more.

Villa will take it though,, regardless of whether Spain win it or not.

It will be either Villa or Messi
I would hate that klose score 4 or more, cos' that way he will break Ronaldo's record. That wouldn't be fair considering that Klose mainly scores against Arabia Saudi, costa Rica, Australia,.... while the best 9 in history scores goles in quarters, semis and finals

Mainly true, although Klose scored a very important goal vs argentina in the 2006 quarters. And he was badly affected by the NTs sponsor adidas, forcing Klose to play in adidas shoes instead of his own nikes. Klose had problems with his feet and couldnt even play more than 60 minutes in the late stages of the tournament.

Except if between him and a goal is two touches, he has been able to kill a ball in mid air to win it away from his marker and then score with a goal keeper only in net.

No one believes Klose will be top scorer? He has the chance to equal Ronaldo's record and then beat it.

So, actually no one of Villa's main rivals for the prize, except Klose or Podolski (is he one?), didn't score a goal in the first round??
Of course, Torres is still to go. Come on El Guaje, time to take an advantage!
