But Marcelo worked well with Ronaldo, back when he was actually more of a winger, and there are lot of similarities between young CR and NeyNey.

How much time did Ronaldo hold onto the ball? He either dribbles fast and shoots or makes the 2 meter pass and fucks off in the center of the box.

Neymar on the other hand likes his little tricks. Most of the time they are time wasters as it does nothing to help team-play.

Ronaldo was like that in his first years at Utd. Since 2008 he cut the bullshit massively. Only dribbled when he knew it would come off.

Some of the big teams will probably grow during the tournament. Germany usually is underwhelming in their first game.

we're not underwhelming in our first game, but we basically have one good, one average and one shit performance. This is the first time we start with the shit one though.

Everyone went batshit after Argentina's/Messi's performance, and now it's much more obvious no team is a pushover in this WC. Maybe we'll see the giants wake up next time around, but for now Argentina has nothing to be ashamed off.

ARG was pretty decent bar their awful defense.

In 2002 majority of top teams played horrible and were knocked out in a surprise fashion 1 by 1.

Quite easily that 1-2 out of Argentina, Brasil, Germany, Spain, Portugal, England will be knocked out even in a group stage.

Probably some random teams like Mexico, Croatia, Belgium, Denmark, enter any European team will take a surprise semifinal spot.

Some big teams will go out in a group stage and then, we could easily see France-Argentina and Brasil-Germany in 1/8s.
