Messi’s attacking teammates were actually decent. Aguero took his chance. The wide players played well. Banega helped control the game and allowed messi to move further forward. Messi didn’t move around though to help break the bus and run at them from different angles. Predictable in his play.

I respect Nigeria and Croatia more. Iceland is one of the poorer teams in WC, though. Iceland is not the worst but good team should beat them.

Any team would have found it hard to break down that Iceland team. There are some positives for Argentina but Croatia are going to test their defence more and that's going to be nailbiting stuff. Banega for biglia next game coz himself and Messi link up so well and I think argentina would have created more if he had started

I think Nigeria is definitely their most favorable matchup. Iceland in tournaments are so constricted defensively.

Croatia will be a tough one though. If Biglia starts, they will get utterly massacred by Modric and co. in midfield. Count on it. Dude is rubbish and still manages to get starts tournament after tournament. Sampaoli is smoking some shit right now.
