Iceland topped the qualifying group with Croatia in 2nd so they are strong, they also drew with Portugal 1-1 in euro 2016 and beat England.

I think Nigeria is definitely their most favorable matchup. Iceland in tournaments are so constricted defensively.

Croatia will be a tough one though. If Biglia starts, they will get utterly massacred by Modric and co. in midfield. Count on it. Dude is rubbish and still manages to get starts tournament after tournament. Sampaoli is smoking some shit right now.

Argentina lost to Nigeria in every world cup they played together. This time can be different, but Nigeria is just a tough opponent for them historically.

Wut? Didn’t Messi score that FK winner against them four years ago?
Edit; Actually, Rojo scored the winner. Messi scored the other two goals.

That's literally just wrong. lol

Yes, actually it is the other way around, they lost every game in WCs to Argentina . I did not remember it properly then. Sorry. Better for Messi then.

p.s. looked it up, Nigeria defeated Argentina only twice, both in friendlies.

Ok, enough about Argentina. But speaking of Croatia, I am from Croatia and over the years feels like I've lost some if not all passion for the team. Even disgusts me at times. Reading stuff on the Internet it's a widespread view here. Strange that happened.

If you think about it, Portugal and Argentina both got the same result and are equally as far away/close to qualifying for the knockouts, so its not like Portugal made some massive statement while Argentina broke down, yet it feels that way, reading the comments.....

Hope Sampaoli realizes the players that need to be dropped from the starting IX.
Biglia and Rojo need to go. Fazio and Banega should start against Nigeria. It's just one game, still 6 points up for grabs.
All the Ronaldo lovers are out and about with memes some of which are actually funny.

No, no, no. Not Banega. Way too inconsistent and frustrating. This team needs Lo Celso. Had great season for PSG and did really well for Argentina when given the chance.

Lo Celso for Biglia, Pavon for Di Maria and possibly Dybala for Meza?

Honestly I would drop Rojo too because he's brainless and Caballero is so shaky, but he fucked up big time now and won't make wholesale changes either so... the first three changes is the best to hope for.
