dunno what happened with Colombia. Maybe the return of James? I dunno. All of a sudden a scoring draught since 6 games.

Can still see Colombia getting 5th, with their final 2 games against 2 of the weakest in the group

Colombia better pray that Ecuador and Uruguay beats Peru.

Argentina keep going with those narrow wins, shows some true strength to grind out victories. 29 games unbeaten now.

james has been mediocre or worse for like 3-4 years now. he never should have been called to the team. most colombians idolize him, though, him and falcao, so there is always pressure to call them up.

really disappointing results for sure.

That's how you win tournaments. By not letting opponent score easy goals and having quality upfront to finish one of few chances they create.

I recognized their strong game before anyone else. Were my Copa America favourite.

For me, they were not my favorites for the Copa America before the tournament started as I thought Scaloni would go for Pezzella, Foyth and Armani as part of his defense.

Thank god, Scaloni has some sense to go for Romero, Molina/Montiel and Emi Martinez in his defense.

To be fair, could not gauge their strength fully but for me there was a clear turning point I think during qualification games before the Copa. Saw a rejuvenated hard-working team, lot of movement with players with winning mentality going extra mile and supporting each other. In the beginning that would last one half, but over time they were able to go deeper into the game maintaining that high work-rate.

I think I put them as favs after 2 group games. Thought Chile would be only one to stop them with their disruptive style and playing on counter and being angstgegner for Argentina. Brazil's attack wasn't running the way it should.
