Weghorst 90+11 goals looks like Zanetti 98 goal. Awesome to try it and actually pull it of.
That whole game was a classic remember it like yesterday. It was to Owen what euros 2000 was to ronney

Went to watch a Brazil game in the ground and Kaka had this uncanny ability to kick the ball just the perfect amount while running so that he eats up the ground but doesn't give his opponents a chance to tackle. The ball was glued to his feet.
When he used to go on these iconic one man counter attacks everyone else on the pitch looked like they were running in slowmo.
He was insanely and effortlessly quick and strong.
There is no huge bridge in talent between Argentina and Netherlands.
Scaloni was better tactically until period they took game as won... then were better in ET.
You don't think if you compare the players on average Argentinian players play for better sides than Dutch players and they have much deeper squad? Weghorst plays for Besiktas. Come on...
Tell me why Dutch team has never been mentioned as one of favs to win this WC.
No not really.
Argentina dont have anyone like FDJ or VVD but do have Messi.
Very even.
Dumfries, VVD, MDL, FDJ, Gakpo would all walk into that Argentina team.
You think they'd take both Dumfries and Blind over the backs they have? Would exchange their midfield for ours because of Frenkie?
Remember how he smoked Messi once on the ball vs without.Went to watch a Brazil game in the ground and Kaka had this uncanny ability to kick the ball just the perfect amount while running so that he eats up the ground but doesn't give his opponents a chance to tackle. Van Gaal and South Americans is a terrible match.Don't know what the dutch do but everytime all teams hate them

Dumfries yes. Blind no.
You mention clubs when you have Liverpools captain, Bayerns starter, Ajax starter linked to big clubs and a Man City CBs...Inters RB and Ajax player at LB. Argentina have Romero from Spurs and Otamendi at 34 from Benfica, Montiel who is not playing well with Atletico and Acuna who isnt great for Sevila.
Midfield.. FDJ is best of lot, Enzo is a talent still young after that DePaul not a regular starter at Atletico and struggling, Parades been in similar boat.. have they been better than deRoon for Atlanta in recent seasons at club level? then have Mcallister from Brighton.. not a huge club either.
Not much in it.
Frenkie, Koopmeijner, De Roon, Klaassen vs De Paul, Lo Celso, Paredes, McAllister at disposable for mf. Who would you pick?
No idea what 'at disposable' means but as I said FDJ is best of the lot and not sure if DePaul/Paredes have been any better than likes of deRoon ib recent years.
Not much in it either way.
Disposable means you as coach get to have either first 4 mentioned vs latter 4.
That's why I said on average. Frenkie might be most talented overall of all mf's in boths quads. But looking at who he coudl possibly be paired with, would you still pick that over the possible mf's you could pick with Argentine squad at disposal?
