Xavi Hernández

I really hope Xavi isn't dumb enough to take on this job, it would be his career suicide. There is no more chaotic team out there with such a discrepancy between actual sports level and seasonal goals.

But dailyfail should be banned from being quoted anyways. As long as athletic isn't covering it, this rumour is just a klick baiting joke.

I said a year ago that when Ten Hag gets sacked Xavi will take the job, I don't think it's fake, I think Xavi genuinely thinks if he had lots of money he would be one of the best managers in the world.

When he was here all he complained about was signings and he's going to a club who will sign him whoever he wants as long as they agree to come.

It will flop spectacularly, when he is out of the comfy environment he had here it won't work out well, what will remain to be seen though is if he can improve on Ten Hag's tenure, which is a low bar.

If you think fc Barcelona is a comfy environment, you clearly don't understand the club or know what you're talking about lol.

Ask any coach who's coached at Barcelona.

Don't let flick happy face fool you, he's just happy to have a job at a top club, after it seemed he was out the game for a while.

Check him out at Bayern, how he complained about not getting the players he wanted.

Every coach does this

ETH had a much more comfortable environment than Xavi ever had at barca, we'll give you whatever you want and all we require in return is a top 7 finish and a cup run. Lol

We will see, I think it's very likely Xavi gets the job if Ten Hag is sacked, and we will see how Xavi can do with a large budget and free reins to build the team how he wants.

If he manages to get them competing at the top, I would accept I am wrong about him.

Nah he's not getting the job, too much negative energy around him now.

But if he got it, it will most certainly be less pressure filled environment than coach at Barcelona, by a long long way.

According to bookies van Nistelrooy or Amorim are clearly above everyone else to take over. Xavi is on the list but the odds are far from the other two.

Nah. The rags are huge globally and the English press will destroy him. Social media will turn him into a meme if he doesn't perform.

According to most reputed websites, Yanited have the most fans in Football. Even more than Real.

Shouldn't go there. Very few players you can actually work with there. Also fanbase that overrates their players too much and then expects crazy results with an objectively mediocre squad (this doesnt apply for ETH of course, his results are below the standards of even such a shitty team like United's in 2024).

I just can't imagine Xavi coaching a club like Man UTD... the pressure will be too much after they have been irrelevant for the EPL for more than a decade. What will he bitch and complain about in post match conferences? "The fans were very harsh on me this weekend, I could not concentrate enough on the teams' tactics"

But why do they believe he would be any different than Zero Hag?

Amorim is hopefully smart enough to stay away from them as well. He is probably the choosen one to replace Pep anyway.

Xavi to Utd would be soooo entertaining 🤣
Combine Utds toxic fanbase with Xavis entitled attitude and you have a spectacular car crash waiting to happen.
He would probably splash the cash in a big way too. There really is nothing much to work with at Utd. Only a few players have quality and the general demeanor of the squad stinks.
People say the pressure is lesser at Utd but ETH has looked like a deer in the headlights there.
I have to admit I rated ETH but he isn't delivering at Utd. Maybe he's better at a smaller club with less expectations like Emery at Villa. No disrespect to Villa.
