Anyone noticed that when our players do the little huddle up circle right before important matches it's always Xavi who talks and not Puyol?

Xavi is Mr. Football.

Puyol leads by example giving it his all every game but Xavi has been the vocal leader of this team for a while now. He leads the team in huddles, is the first one to the ref to talk about a call (if anything he goes too far), and him and Valdes are the main ones shouting at team mates.

And he's too good to be God.

Well he is vice-captain. But I like the Puyol doesn't mind sharing his "power" if you will. Xavi's certainly the big mouth though- always complaining to refs. He even came out of the dugout unto the field to bitch at Sergio Ramos.

but it's good to know we don't lack leadership. Also I agree. In fact, if I was religious I would pray to Xavi.

I'm not religious and this is exactly what I do. Honestly Xavi fills the void left by God. Such a class act.

This is by far the worst I've seen him play. The only positive plays I remember are one nice flick to get past a defender, and a good through ball to Pedro. For the most part, he was awful. Losing possession, playing hospital passes, you name it. Mentally, he never got off the bus.

he was nowhere near as dominant as we would have expected. quite clear that the coach trip really took it out of him - plus he needs his minutes managed anyway.

It's great the we have escaped from this trap unscathed. Now it's a prestige game against Kazan and then Sociedad at home.

Then we have to humuliate those Pericos...

One question: Did the Ballon D'or and Fifa guru prices have been mixed into one price as was suggested in the summer or not?
