I swear I would be ten times more interested in the EPL if only they would give me the chance to read what goes on the forum so I start watching the league. The pages go by faster than university days, I can't keep up.

In short: No idea.

Gareth Barry probably lol, anyway i'm from England and apart from Gary Linekar mentioning Xavi as the best midfieder at the moment i've never heard anyone over here mention him once, it's all about Messi and how it's pretty much a one man team which isn't the case, thats what i mean about him not getting any recognition which is a shame really because he will probably never win this award and he is the best player ive ever seen.

Xavi may not win the FIFA Ballon d'Or(which I actually doubt) but he'll always be remembered as the best midfield architect in this decade. And that's what counts!

There's a great special that was done in Barcelona by a local station for Xavi and the 550...It's available online but, sadly, it's only in Catalan

Still holding out hope someone can put together a translation sub for it

I'm having an argument on another forum... Some idiots trshing Xavi. And my memory is not serving me right now, but has he ever decided a game? Scoring, I mean.

Well, his clasico goal is still the matchwinner. :)

There's also the WC semifinal against Germany (assist to Puyol). That's off the top of my head. I'll defer to cules for more detailed information.

But that was the 1st goal... I'm looking for something like it's 0x0, we needed a goal, and he scored. Or assisted someone.

If you mean eeeever ever ever then since I watched Crackovia lately I remember Xavi's header in 1999-2000 (was it ?), the game winner against Valencia or Sociedad, some good club at that time. He replaced Guardiola at that time and Barca was still under Van Gaal who was nearing his end in Barca.

Other than that ? I don't know. I think he must have at some point and I can actually recall the memories of everyone hailing Xavi etc. Espanyol last year is the only one that's stuck in my head as game-changing right now :D
