"Joan Laporta is signing ‘Viva Mexico’ with the fans outside the stadium. Soon, you'll know why.”

Things are happening

A shitty Spurs side could have scored four against us.
Against speed and intensity we struggle big time. Most of this is due to Xavi. He has no idea how to adapt and set up a team based on the squads strength and weaknesses.
Third consecutive CL group stage exit beckons.

Xavi lacks the basics in even setting up a functioning team which blows my mind considering how intelligent he was as a player. Total amateur hour this guy and his brother. He's got away with shit that other managers would be publicly flogged in the media for, due to the fact he's a club legend but this lenience will run out this season.

The excuses of 'no money' etc don't stand, managers with much worse squads and small budgets are still able to play attractive football and challenge. I won't say their football is attractive but look at Inter last season ffs.. Xavi has zero excuses, this is NOT a bad squad.

As long as we avoid all the English, French, Italian, German and Portuguese sides then we got a chance.

In ideal world Fresneda and Cancelo.

Fresneda looks a unit that could cover CB in a three even.

Doubt will sell the players needed for that though.
Apparently half of the team isn't even registered yet.... Very depressive to say the least, don't see how they can bring anyone else right now

Took apart by a spurs that are nothing special for 85 mins.

Our press is too easy to beat and we have no shape. It looks like there’s no plan for when we’re off the ball. Relying on individual bits of pressing to win the ball back, this is a very easy thing to beat because one of the several players pressing will leave a gap somewhere due to there being no overall plan.

No running, no pace, static and slow. Insistence on Raphinha, Lewa and Gavi as a 4th midfielder / lw will not work. Crashing out of ucl group another high possibility.

Really don't like the Kounde Araujo CB/RB swap from last season.

We had one unit that worked well last season and clearly was our best line. To change that because Kounde is bitching is making me mad. At the same time Christensen is injured, which means we have a brand new CB pairing, so in the successful backline from last year, only 1/4th remains intact with Balde at LB. We need continuity.

Also seems like every other team can transition from defence -> midfield -> attack much more quickly than us. When we get the chance to counter or to run at them whilst they have less numbers back, we hang onto the ball knowing we don't have the pace to damage the opposition. Reverting back to slow static keep the ball.

You're welcome
To be fair we don't even press. Look at every player individually with every pass. It's just jogging. They just casually pass it around with a lot of time. Only time we were close to conquering the ball was with the pass of the keeper.

You will never see them have time to do this in EPL though.

But maybe players were instructed not to go with full intensity. It's just Gamper after all.

Maybe the worst coach I've ever seen. Fails at the most basic basics of the game. There's better coaches in Albanian second division

Some funny takes here, but I'm genuinely worried about how this season will go. Really makes me think if this squad has already peaked in everything there is to win:(

Oh yes the manager who manages to win the league with weakest Barcelona side ever is a bad manager.

You aren't ready for what's coming.
