Until yesterday we were doubtful to register even Gundogan.

Xavi is witnessing one of the most terrifying transfer windows in Barca history. We've now sold players at around 100m (Dembele 50, Griezmann 20m final installment, Kessie 12m, Nico 8m and Trincao 7m) and spend just 3m on Oriol.
Onwards and upwards:laporta:

Technically we also signed Roque, for money
Brought in a WC Midfielder* for free
And will sign a RB.

Working smarter, not going the Chelsea way.

Of the players 'sold' only really Dembele is relevant to line up from last season and most think he was a dud it seems anyway.

The team has been strengthened.

Part of spending 300m odd last year was that this year would be more balanced.

Strengthened no. But neither did Madrid.

Yes strengthened from where were a summer ago.

Gundo will improve things and Inigo should when fit.

Also more to come.

Last year was for spending big. This was always going to be tighter with rules.

The young players improving and improvement from Fati/Ferran etc should all be expected also.

The team is good enough to fight to the end for the title and reach at least the Last 16 in CL depending on the draw.

You really need to get in line with the game. Most top teams spend 100-150m at a minimum per summer. It is like that now.

Even Bayern spent 150m this summer and they trashed us last year. A year before 150m again. So... get in line with the reality of the game.

Don't need to spend close to a billion, but 150m in a summer is not much spending in 2023. It is quite the norm. Money counts a lot, because this is how you buy top-class players to improve your team.

Only City would be clear favs v Barca.

Barca may not be favs but should compete to 50/50 at worst with almost any other side.

 No chance. Lack 2-3 players that you can only get for top money, money that the club doesn't have obviously.

50/50 is a joke.

Barca needs a left winger, a right-back, and a new defensive midfielder (a top one). All starters of course, not for depth.

Who should Barca be underdogs against?

Bayern maybe but when CL still in play last season matched them over there... I concede would say Bayern 2nd favs for CL.

All same claims as last season when said Barca couldnt beat 'best in Europe' Real for years in league.

But just keep repeating same things.

Barca needs urgent signings of quantity, not quality.

Our top level players are Raphinha and Lewandowski. Think about it.
