If we get a group of Arsenal, Newcastle and Milan we're going straight to Europa for the third straight season. If we are bad we're finishing last.
This is Xavis last season.

You're welcome
Have to agree with serghei slightly more than usual on this one.
Think Arsenal would be fav against us. But otherwise see us as slight fav against MIlan.

We are favourites against no one until proven otherwise.
Pray for an easy draw so we can at least gain some winning mentality, even against smaller teams.
if we go out again in groups, Xavi should get sacked.

If we get a group of Newcastle, Arsenal, and Milan, the phone rings and you wake up because it's not possible in real life.

If anyone views others as favourites over us (barring City or bogey side Bayern) then it's probably because lack of confidence in the manager for knockout games. That and we haven't shown the testicular fortitude in Europe long before Xavi, but Xavi has certainly shown he is not a cup manage as of yet.

Quality wise, we have one of the better groups of players in Europe.

A few glaring holes sure, but like everyone else. Even City right now have some holes.

Absolutely unrealistic expectations on a squad full of shit players to believe FC Barcelona has any business playing European football. We have replaced world Champion footballers with third rate rejects like Romeu and Christensen. We have not had a worse starting eleven since the likes of Reizinger, Cristanval, Coco and Gabri made a mockery of our club. I have already said before, it will be bloody miracle if we can qualify for the Champions league next year. People are living in fantasy world if they expect anything out of this gang of rejects and has-beens. The only players in the squad worth keeping are Gavi and Pedri, the rest you could not even offload in a Jumble sale.

Xavi might not be the messiah people were dreaming of since the days of Pep, but given the state of our club and the complete shit show our squad is, no manager on the planet could do much more that what Xavi has already done. Considering the absolute turd this club has turned into, I seriously doubt either Gavi or Pedri will stick around for much longer and then it is total darkness with a billion Euro in the red, good luck to any new president and manager to turn this disaster around, it's not going to happen.
I'll bet you 1k that Barca make CL @Barcaman can be the mediator, name the odds

In La Liga that would be a terrible bet to take lol.

100% qualify for CL, not as bad as he made out.

We aren't CL contenders in the truest sense like few made out either.

Truth is always somewhere in the middle.

We aren't CL contenders in any reasonable sense mate. We can get pretty far with a lot of luck like Inter last season, that's about it.

The team needs to overcome the huge problems of not being able to sign players to improve the team. Spending 3m this summer is laughable. It's extremely difficult to improve the squad if you don't spend money.

Gundogan and Cancelo should on paper improve the squad. Are we a top three CL contender? I don't think so, HOWEVER, we should be able to be a team that can compete with anyone in Europe.

Not saying win, but compete and get to the QFs for sure.

So far under Xavi in Europe we have not been able to compete at all apart from a half in Munich and some bursts here and there. Some you can blame bad luck for injuries, but this setups also never work and some of his decisions like starting Marcos Alonso almost every European game is inexcusable.
