Reminding me of myself as a kid, when I was pissed Barca sacked Johan Cruyff. Football is about business and success, when you don't deliver you have to go. Nothing personal.

EV simply had a superior team. He had 2 players that were constantly among the top 5 of the Ballon d'Or list in Messi and Suarez leading the attack.

Can't possibly compare the two teams. :lol:

Xavi achieved the most that can be achieved with the current squad in terms of silverware (which is most important obviously). A La Liga trophy. We shall see if the next guy that will take over after Xavi can win the title in his full first season, or can maybe even do more than that.

It's possible that the next manager post-Xavi will do more than Xavi. If he does that, he will be better. Not so hard to understand. At a tier 1 club, titles dictate success.

You claimed Messi and Suarez made the team worse and to balance it off EV also came up against a much better Real side that had second best player of all time and their top players in their prime while were in a run of 4 CLs in 5 seasons.

This Barca has better defenders and midfielders than back then.

La Liga was best league in world at that point.

It isnt now.

The ones that backed EV, even if not overly ecstatic about his managerial level, and back Xavi now are the wisest.

Very few if any make that list around here.

La Liga and Real were better back then and you now claim Messi as reason for Barca when spen years saying how much harder Messi made it for likes of Arthur..

Even last season the argument of 'Messi makes it harder in Europe' etc.

As said you gush over this inferior Real as 'elite' and 'best in Europe' when it comes to Xavi and then totally ignore the far superior Real that EV faced and focus all on fact had Messi.

'Had Messi'.... Messi was there the year before as part of MSN.. won neither league or CL.

'EV had Messi'... two league titles in a row and top when sacked... they then lose league that season with Messi.

With Messi'.. Barca then fail to win league following year after EV leaves.

Facts.

Messi last 5 years at Barca won league twice.. the two full seasons EV was there.

But aye all it takes is Messi.

Madrid in the 2nd season of EV got trashed by fecking Ajax, probably their worst European run in the last 12 years or so. They finished on 68 points in the league, and fired 2 managers during the 2018-19 season, Lopetegui and Solari.

Yet thy won 4 CL titles in 5 years prior.. and thats what always gets held up last season as Real being elite as won one.

Xavis Barca got trashed by far worse sides than that Ajax.

Wish the next guy the same results. To win a league title against one of the best 2-3 teams in Europe.
