Do you really think he's better than Messi though? Obviously there totally different players but I think Messi edges it although it's closer than some people think.

I like watching Xavi play for Spain more now because Barca don't rely on him as much anymore because of Messi dropping deep and we often play a 3 - 4 - 3 now and Xavi has to stay more one side of the diamond,his role now is not to control the whole game because he doesn't need to because of the formation we use now and the fact that the whole team has improved.

No doubt he can still do it as we seen tonight.

I think so he is the main man for both Spain/Barca calming influence and consistently amazing, put him in any team he will improve them tenfold, also i'm not so sure messi would be so great if he didn't have the ball constantly but he does as Xavi runs every game without fail, thats my view anyway i'm sure many will disagree
