It's just that this weekend's game at Mestalla, it's a must win but I think we can do just fine without him. As long as he doesn't take any set piece.

Yeah his free kicks are really bad, there's just no pace on them whatsoever.
Surely the management can see it too and stop him from taking them.

Considering that Messi / Neymar are clearly the two best ( one from either side ) I'm not sure what is up for discussion tbh

We also have Cesc who I feel is better than Xavi at free kicks . Probably another couple I've missed plus Alves from distance :)

I always wonder how they decide on the free kick pecking order .

Do you think they have free kick competitions daily or isn't just down to Xavi being decent and being the most experienced player ??

Was going to say I hope rotation is all it is, but then he wouldn't be in the Spain squad if he had picked up a knock. Interesting to see how often Tata does this.

To me I think it's easier to bench Alves than Xavi, so this is a real step forward. We need to use him more sparingly so that when we do play him he's at his very best, which can still be great.
