Alves is wide open because the other team want the Barcelona full backs on the ball.

By Xavi constantly playing it out to him his playing into the oppositions hands.

And this is Xavi's fault how? Alves having space means he can make shit happen. What do you expect Xavi to do? Yeah please don't play it to Alves because he sucks..

his assists are being sorely missed...

Wasn't it his pass that lead to Neymar's last minute chance?

Actually i think the pass was meant for Iniesta who was then brilliant enough to let the ball pass him and move straight on to Neymar's path.

And yeah i also think he had a good game

Had a good game with the ball, its off the ball when the decline is obvious. He just doesn't have the legs anymore I'm afraid.

He is always open. Even when we were good he was often used to switch up play. It never used to be hoof the ball in the area like how he is doing now.

Well opponents don't need to cover him as they know he will play a useless cross that no one is Barca is going to reach probably why Montoya gets behind defenses so easily as coaches might normally prepare for Alves and leave him unmarked

Xavi: "End of an era? I keep on hearing about the end of a cycle for five years now. This final slipped away because of details."

Ridiculous.

I hope I'm wrong but I think xavi is living in the past and is dragging the team down. He might need a dressing down or be sold if we want to rebuild.

What do you expect him to say? He's obviously not going to come out and say that the team is rubbish and its the end of an era when there's still a league title to play for.

I didn't watch the match but from what i read, we weren't very good. Xavi is the worst sore loser ever. According to him we're always just a little unlucky. Even when we got thrashed by Bayern he claimed we were better because we had more possession.

Nah, he's stubborn. He'd never say the team is rubbish, but the way he still talks after a defeat it's like he's still living in 2011.

Right or wrong, he has his opinion and isn't afraid to say what he thinks.

Much better than all the media trained robots.
