Great words from Xavi. Lot of crap being thrown around about him having a bad attitude and all but it's great to see that he supports Lucho and accepted the proposal of not being the default top-dog in the pecking order. He spoke with humility and as the leader representing the squad. He deserves the armband, no doubt about it. Both of his teams (Barca and Spain) have been through some really tough times but he's come out of that with good spirits, hope it continues.

I'm sad to see him retire from the NT but it is for the best. He is not only the greatest Spanish player of all time but the greatest midfielder in the history of the sport. He's in the waning days of his career now and gets to look back at it with pride as well as help nurture the next generation for success. Thank you Xavi.
