We were way better when he came on. It has to be said.

Whoever comes in net season will have massive role to fill even for a 35 year old Xavi who is still putting on world class performances.

Our midfield looked better when he came on. Oh, how will I miss him once he's gone

Yes, it most certainly did. Prime Xavi (and Iniesta) is something we will never witness in our lifetimes again. In the sense of two midfield geniuses playing side by side for so long and so brilliantly.

He's having a better season than Iniesta, which I don't know if it's a merit to Xavi, or a demerit to Iniesta. Probably both.

A little bit of both to be certain. It is clear that Xavi merits a bit more playing time to what he has been getting so far, and Iniesta a bit less.

Calma, calma
I'd rather still have Iniesta against teams like Atleti (and other bunker teams). Better defensively, faster release of the ball, better dribbling. Against teams like Madrid and Bayern, it's a toss-up. Play the one in better form.

Xavi should not play more than 60 minutes per week. Preferably all the minutes are sub minutes or home starts vs weaker teams.

He can't leave at the end of the season, he's still tremendously important for Barca. Again, he should stay and retire here when the time comes, and then start working on his coaching license in Barcelona.

Please stay Xavi

We should start on the "Xavi don't go" petition. How many signatures would it take for him to extend one more year...

I have high doubts that Xavi's fitness is that bad that he shouldn't play more than 60 minutes. To me, he can play 90 minutes per week without any problems. He will be terribly needed against Valencia, this will be a huge game.
