I smell a bit of panic from Wolfe . His reaction is more emotional than normal for a Madrid fan.

Loves to play the nonchalant 'I don't really care what Barca amount to' most of the time, but can't handle even a modicum of Barca success.

Nothing makes me happier than a salty Madrid fan.

Not totally sold on Xavi but whatever, I'd be willing to at least start watching Barca games again with Valverde gone.

I don’t think that Xavi ( working with Puyol?) can be any worse than Valverde tbh

I’m lucky to get to see most of Liverpool’s games who are basically playing the the dream football we used to play a few years ago

The new manager bounce will at least guarantee an exciting half a season. If Xavi doesn't deliver, Barto will probably appoint a new manager or give him another season given that it would be Barto's last season as well. Either way, I am on board with giving Xavi a chance, this group of players is getting too old. He can always come back after some years if he can't cut it the first time as well.

Yea, at least we have something to look forward to. A manager who doesn't use the phrase 'Barca style' like an empty filler in press conferences to fool media and fans. That's refreshing for a change.

Its not about him being worse, but how much we burn him with our current team. Maybe it would be preferable if he joins us later, but Im fairly in the "get Xavi now" camp.

Reading these posts all the time: no one can be worse than Valverde and certain players will fly under a different coach, really makes me want to sign Xavi.

1. We will sink like Titanic
2. We will find an answer to: it can't be worse than Valverde.
3. Some of forum's favorite players will get
exposed under a new coach.
Till now, every player who had flaws was excused with: it is because of EV.
That alibi will die now.

Our results won't improve but at least we will learn a lot and debunk a lot of forum myths and alibies.
So, sign Xavi.

** About people comparing him and Pep, lol.
Pep was a captain, a coach among players, yelling at everyone, being "annoying guy" at times.

I have watched Xavi for 15-16 years at Barca and haven't seen any leadership abilities in him.
A guy was an awesome player and understood our style.
For being a coach, you need way more, especially with this set of players.

But signing Xavi will be a cherry on top of horrible sporting directions and signings by Barto and his sporting directors.

I would put my money that the next few Months will be the lowest point since 2002/03 season.

Let's see.

No worries, BBZ, we will sink like Titanic anyway. So let's just give Xavi a chance. It won't make any difference. We have nothing to lose.

Throwback to when BBZ called Ernie for a manager that's more capable of winning CL trophies than Pep and Klopp.

That's before the team struck an iceberg. Now we will sink like RMS Titanic and everyone is a passenger. Xavi just boarded the wrong ship. It's not late for him to change his mind.

Yeah, we will sink with or without EV.

The difference is how low we will sink.
I think that Xavi will guide us towards a rock bottom way faster.

Again, let's wait and see.

serghei, this will the first time when you will in person see Barca sinking deeper and deeper for years.
You will learn a lot.

When the same end of an era will repeat in 10-20 years, please don't post the same posts and ideas as today.
Try to learn a lot about cycles, psychology and motivation from this case.
Forget about fancy tactics.
Thanks

Here's a part of the reason we suck so much.

Klopp's assistant speaking about Liverpool and their style.
