How many teams have been able to play successfully Pep's style, WITHOUT being coached by Pep himself?

Do we have any practical proofs that it is possible at all?
Regardless of quality of our players.

You are replying go used called PepsBarca

You should already know his answer lol

Pep's style and tactics work in 2021 we just don't have the players to play that way so we need more La Masia players in the lineup

Pep?s style works obviously, but you need the right combination of players. Moreover you need a whole bunch of midfielders in your roster. Pep doesn?t even play with natural forwards or strikers.

Any big name player will cost $$$. Flat out. Especially if you buy from the PL.

I'll repeat the question again:
Is there any other club who played a carbon copy of Pep's football and made it WITHOUT Pep?

I agree, Pep can make teams play good Pep's football.
But, can SOMEONE ELSE make it?

When Muller referred to intensity he referred to hunger. This team is full of soy boys. Look at the first Muller goal. Mingueza and Pique rooted to the ground, not even challenging Muller in the air. Ter Stegen half asleep in no man's land. That header had no power or direction and STILL three players didn't do anything. Noone closed or tried to close Sane down for the shot. Again Ter Stegen asleep and flapping away like a drunk at 3am in the club.
Leaving aside the quality of the players the attitude of this team and club as a whole is SHOCKING. A team like Shrerif went to Real Madrid and got a result. Yes, we are going through a bad time but you have to be competitive. Even small teams give big clubs a hard time. We don't give anyone a hard time. We just roll over. Look how casual Dembele was with that shot. Look at that cunt Lenglet laughing. He thought it was a training session obviously.
I don't know if Xavi can fix this. The players attitude sucks, the quality is not there. Everyone seems to be injured. I am sure we won't qualify for EL next season for get CL. Thank God Messi moved to PSG.

Well said sadly. In this team, as it stands, there will be only 10-ish players that I can say with confidence that they have the proper mentality and attitude. Ansu Fati, Araujo, Frenkie De Jong, Gavi, Pedri, Garcia, Nico, Dani Alves, and Braithwaite.

Braithwaite is a rotation player at best, Dani Alves is 38, some are kids that won't be ready for the really big level sooner than 2-3 more years. So we're left with around 7 players who can count on for the new team in the near future. We need MANY players, not only starters but solid squad players as well. Get armed with a lot of patience, and approach games knowing we'll struggle, and I'm not talking about a couple of months, but 1-2 years until it gets better. There is no other way, we fucked up too badly in the last 2-3 years.

All veterans bar Alves in this team are clowns with pathetic mentality. Squad is full of players who are paid a lot but nobody wants them because they are have beens.

It's Xavi's job to bench Pique, Busquets, and the clown veterans.

He's been dealt a rough hand but he's not doing himself any favors making Busquets an auto starter for ex.

I mean we have 4 decent midfielders at the moment, two of them teenagers, so it's rather hard benching Busquets :p Especially when you consider that we need Gavi in attack. I hope we see more changes when Pedri is back, but even then it's a pretty shitty situation. Frenkie+2 teenagers ain't it (still my preference right now, but my job isn't in danger).

I hear you, but I would rather go with something (anything) new rather than play the same washed up player who's been one of the constants in our CL and now LL beatdowns.

It's not like we're risking any trophies or even top 4 at this rate.

true, the older players wont work anymore so why not trying the new players? Im sure they would do it better or at least not worse.

Busquets started every game of the season for us, the only player to do so while being second oldest.
We rest FDJ and not Busquets (although rumor about playing Frenkie injured) and that is unacceptable even for the current depth.

I mean I really don't like Busi, but the guy is better than what he is showing now. He is dead tired

And even Pep himself managed to play it only with the Messi+Xavi+Iniesta, Champions league winners Bayern and oil rich City.

Of course, you have to have the players in order to do it. And, I’ll concede that Pep is one of the best in the business.

Has anyone who’s managed one of the best clubs in the world tried to play like Pep has his teams play, at least in recent times?

We pretty much have to give Xavi a pass on this year and really judge him on what happens next year. It’s unlikely that we’ll be back to the top next year but he’ll need to make big strides including phasing out the likes of Pique, Alba, Ter Stegen, etc

Yea, even though in all probability we would not do any better if we bench them for super raw players, I would still do it as a ground zero moment. You can't really say it's ground zero when most of your back 6, the first building block of the team, is made with specimens like Stegen, Pique, Alba, Busquets, Lenglet.

You can bench Pique because we have Araujo - Garcia. So do it. You can bench Busi when Pedri is back (if you don't rate Puig), so do it. You can bench Stegen for Neto and you will register a bit of an improvement. Fucking do it.
