if cesc comes, I have a feeling he will be used as more of a shuttle and we will see iniesta play more of a volante role from the middle.

it's really quite sad that xavi has tendonitis and will need managing. kind of expected, because his unparalleled genius was based on a vast amount of physical work. dude would run about 12km a game and did this constantly for 2008, 2009 and then 9 months of 2010. he played SO MUCH football at such a fucking ridiculous level that this was almost inevitable. I really hope that after a short period of management (say, a couple of months) he can return to his former durability, but who can say really.

but this makes pastore or cesc an ESSENTIAL target this summer and places a lot of importance on iniesta, t-bone and jona.

If we try to duplicate this team wth Cesc in Xavi's place we will be mediocre. When Xavi declines our tactics need to change because we can't play like this without Xavi. Same goes with Spain. Cesc is a much more direct player and is world class in a more attacking role, but utterly gash as a pure volante.

Now stop polluting the Xavi topic with this bullshit. We will eventually need another playmaker, whether it be Cesc, Pastore, or Jesus Christ reincarnated, but us being utterly gash without Xavi doesn't mean a career loser like Cesc is our only option.

Cesc has qualities that Xavi does not,better running and better shooting amongst them,deep-lying playmakingwise he is defo inferior,but otherwise Cesc is sheer class.Please watch more of him playing.

Comparing Pastore,Ozil,Arteta,JDS,Thiago or even Schweini to Cesc is frankly ridiculous.21-year old captain of one of the best teams in the EPL(if we are being honest, marginally the best in the world) cannot be accidental.Calling Cesc a career loser(just because he is carrying the whole team on his shoulders,and does not enjoy the company of Messi,Iniesta,Alves,Villa,Pique,Puyol and previously Eto'o and Henry and now Villa) is simply wrong and unfair.

Cesc has the support of Diaby,Song,Clichy,Arshavin,Bendtner,Chamakh,Vermaelen and some others I don't care to mention...compare that with what Xavi enjoys.

schweini is an amazing player and is definitely a better player than cesc atm, while pastore is an amazing player but lets see if he can remain as consistant as cesc has been the last couple of years

Pastore is a great player with great potential, in fact potential to exceed Fabs, but as of now, Fabs has proved himself as an established player, not often do you see 22 year olds pick a whole team on their shoulders...

Until Pastore actually becomes as consistent as Fabs for a few seasons I think its not logical to say he is better than Fabregas atm...
