To be honest, im glad Barca are letting him go if thats what he desires. Im a fan of Toure, he will be missed but if a player really wants to go, best just cash in and move on. He will certainly go with many supporters best wishes.

I do not know if it had been mentioned in this thread, but it looks like he is off to City for 30 million Euros. 3 times the amount we paid for him. It is not often, in fact extremely rare, that a sala from our part happens to be profitable. Amazing.

I think the reason for that is because most players who choose to leave Barca do so having spent a long and successful career there. It shows just how far City have progressed in such a short space of time that we can sign a world class player from Barca who is only 27 and is probably still to hit his peak. People will inevitably say he is only going for the money but that's not the only thing at all. Ofcourse it plays a big part but he isn't a moron. If West Ham offered the same wage to play for them he'd tell them to get stuffed. Players genuinly see the project at City as a very attractive prospect.

That.

Or

he just won everything in his career, gets a shitload of money at a new club AND can play with his brother.

I guess he has won The FA cup? The most historic and respected Domestic trophy in football? And i guess he has won the Premier League. The league which the vast majority of football lovers (including myself) believe is the best league in the world?....Nuff said

Yeah, FA Cup is truly the pinnacle of football.

Better and more prestigous than any other domestinc cup. I'd even say winning the FA cup is more prestigous than winning Spains tin pot League title

when was the last time city won the FA cup?

Along old time ago. Before i was born.

But does that matter? City are a fantastic club with a great history. But i'd much rather have the promise of a fantastic future than all the history you can waffle about. Just ask Liverpool fans how much their rich history counts right now. I know which clubs shoes i'd rather my team be in iregardless of how many trophies they have won. Same as Trafford (£1.1b in debt) United for that matter. Their history wont save them when they go into financial meltdown.

If he wants to leave, then so be it.Even though I like the Yaya very much(and surely prefer him to Sergio)if he has a poor understanding with Pep,then we can sell him to some Man City and use the funds for our bid on the amazing Cesc...
