I have to say I didn't see this one comming...:rolleyes:

It would be interesting to hear those who said that Yaya didn't leave because of money..what is their opinion of his agent whorring him to every possible club, even RM? He is doing to City exactly what he did to us, but now there's no Busi or Pep to take the blame.

Seluk is a tool and that's not really news but it is indeed disappointing to conclude that Yaya is party to the sort of hostage sort of negotiating that used to plague our club as well as many other clubs...Would love to believe this is 90% Seluk and only a fraction Yaya but at the end of the day, you are responsible for yourself - even if your agent leads the way

Of course, from the outside it merely echoes what others have said before about rich clubs that have no identity - you become a magnet for mercenaries...Is that the future of football?

Typical Yaya. I'm still a fan and will remain a fan until he goes to a club I hate, but this happens at every club he plays for. You can only blame the agent for so much when it's been going on for years.

Some players are just mercenaries. Yaya is worse than most in that regard.

I cannot believe at this age and wage he's still expecting a payraise from the City or any other clubs. Unless his only target is joining his 'brother' Eto'o at Anzhi.

Btw, I think his wage is something close to €10m not £12m.

Dont forget that in the UK half of that money goes to taxes so maybe not this year but next year moving to almost tax free Russia would be a great move for him financially.

I'm not just basing it on this debacle, but also what happened when he left us. Besides, with the money he's already earned with us and City - unless he's pissed it all away on mansions, cars and whatever rich fuckers spend their absurd amounts of money on - he should be rich enough to support a couple of African villages for years to come by now.

I think he gets 220,000 per week, according to the celebrity-wages website I checked anyway.

I'm not saying that you are not right, but there are some things that the public doesn't get see and those things could be decisive to the players... so it's not fair to bash them not knowing everything that surrounded certain situation.

You're right about me not knowing what lies beyond this, but you know what? He could easily carry this with way more grace. Solution? Make that fat agent of his shut the hell up.
In general agents are the scum of the earth, and if players want to keep just a shred of their integrity, they should gag their money grubbing scumbag agents, and make them conduct their business away from the media.
