His stamina and work rate is really poor and he is 31 now, so only going to get worse. I think he wont last more than half a season for us before we would start to play up and coming players like Denis Suarez, Rafinha and Sergi Samper full of energy ahead of Yaya.

Yaya's 31 years old. Getting him would not be a long term solution to anything. And he'd probably be expensive as shit for someone his age if he did leave. If we want someone like him, we should go for someone younger like Pogba or maybe Vidal (doesn't have to be those two, just throwing two names out there who are similar players and better investments).
