true that. but it's harsh for pep to bench him for one bad match. there is no need to look at the past.
last night pep shouldve made some changes after it was so obvious that our midfield had no control.
to have more control, keita out, yaya in...
but pep seems to have a beef with yaya.

yes busi passes the ball good now. he doesn't lose the ball that much now.

Its always easy to say should have could have after the thought... against madrid if we would have lost people would have said pep's tactics were stupid but we didnt and it happens.. he dosent have a beef with yaya he just knows sergi is the future

dm, yes, busi is the future, but the match is at present..
if you wanna think about a player for the future, just look at arsenal.
busi was too weak for this encounter imo, he doesnt command the midfield..
but i really thought that keita was the weak link.

you know what, its funny how nobody demands keita or busquets be dropped from the next game after they have a bad game? or zlatan who has started every game when fit from january to present even though given his form, he looks like a player in a relegation side. and let's be perfectly honest with each other. you guys make it sound like when yaya has a bad game, he looks like the most atrocious player to ever put on a barca jersey. but can you honestly tell me that when yaya has an off-game he looks worse than busi and keita did yesterday??? everyone has off games, but yaya gets judged so much harsher for his poor performances than others. why? its not fair at all.

i harp on about yaya because i believe him playing consistently is what is best for barca.

okay so his effort vs. espanyol was "woeful" then how would you describe keita and busquets last night? according to your theory, neither should play vs. xerex right??

Im sure it is Adil,

They had a bad game. Yes, But they put in the Effort for the team, Yaya didnt, Titi didnt. Titi hasnt played (which im sure you agree with) but is it ok for Yaya not to? No i dont think it is, Last years Yaya isnt this years Yaya, the sooner you realise this, the better...

i didnt say that their degree of form and effort was the same...
i was making a comparison, look at it from Peps view, Lack of Effort isnt acceptable, even if it is more than Titis..

Dont be so Patronising, dont get so Personal because someone dare Criticise Prince Yaya...

my final comments are that if anyone doubts that yaya coming on would have improved the game for us yesterday, then i would question whether they have the best interests of the team at heart. fine he didn't play well vs. espanyol, don't start him. but when its painfully obvious your two CMs are struggling and being made to look like tools, and you have your biggest and strongest DM on the bench...... you do the math. if anyone doubts he should have come on, seriously, are you true cules? from what i've read, most people agree he should have come on at some point which is correct.

For me, it's not the prev match performance or the form but the player's attributes that should determine who plays in these matches. You pick your players based on your opposition's strengths and weaknesses and which one of your player is best suited for the occasion. And if we are all honest Yaya was a more apt choice for last night's match.
He brings more steel and command to our midfield and would've given better cover to our defense which wasn't at its best last night. The thing with Yaya is he has more experience and big match temperament over the other two. He is your DM for CL. Yes, he was appalling against stuttgart(A) but lets not forget he was returning from an injury and hes had a lot of start-stops to his season.
But when a manager puts faith & confidence in you in one of the biggest matches of the season after a crap performance over his favs, in most cases the player delivers. Confidence and motivation is the key to a player's success on the pitch. Yaya is clearly lacking it.
Yaya has always done well in CL semis 2 years in a row and put in some of his best performances of his career in these matches. He was the man for the occasion. Its plain obvious Pep has his favs and can be stubborn at times and Yaya has been sidelined for not just footballing reasons. There is more to it.

Hey man.. You need to look deeper... Where does Busquets pass mostly? to his closest co-players.. In other words his passes are very facile..
This is the easiest think to do.. not to risk a more attacking pass.. Say the same about xavi... You can't..
And the way that barca unfolds with passes, and his position made him the most succesful passer yesterday.. And if you can, recall a killer pass busi made yesterday.. i do not think there is..

Ok, busi is the future, but don't generalize like that, and focus on characteristics..

And i remind again: I think Keita should be dropped out, not sergi.. And i dont think there anyone who thinks that Yaya-Sergi is not better than Keita-Sergi.. Only guradiola plays KEita so much that is against common football sense..

Its plain obvious Pep has his favs and can be stubborn at times and Yaya has been sidelined for not just footballing reasons. There is more to it.
Do you know what is the 'more' in that story?
